『世界が終わりました』の MV をナミビア共和国で撮影するというオファーをいただいた
とき、何かに呼ばれたような感覚がありました。 もちろん大自然や歴史への興味もあり
ましたが、それ以上に今のありのままの自分でナミビアの大地を歩き、生き抜いてみた
い。そんな感覚がありました。

現地を巡る中でとにかく歩きました。歩いて、感じて、立ち止まって考えて。時々演じ
たくなってまた歩く。その繰り返しでした。その中で自分の人生を振り返ったり、未来
を想像したり、俳優としての今の自分を見つめ直したり。演技に対する感覚にも変化が
生まれ、身体の内側からさまざまなものが湧き上がってくるのを感じていました。

ただ、それと同時に時折寂しさを感じる瞬間もありました。その感情は何なのかと考え
たとき、人のいない広大な大地で解放されていく自分がいる一方、東京のような都市で
人と何かを共有しながら生きている自分に対する欲求も同時に生まれていたのだと思い
ます。人って難しいですね。簡単じゃないんだなと、改めて痛感しました。

そんな中、現地で暮らす子どもたちや家族と触れ合う時間がありました。彼らの優しさ
や逞しさに心を打たれました。気づけば、僕の心と身体は大きな充実感で満たされてい
ました。やはり僕は、人が好きなんだなと。そして素直な自分を人と共有することの大
切さに、改めて気づかされました。

これからの人生、もっとたくさんの人たちと自分を共有していきたい。
そう思わせてくれた今回の MV チームの皆さん、そしてナミビアの人々とナミビア共和
国という場所に、心から感謝しています。
