'I'm a Virgo's' Jharrel Jerome on the Creation of His Character

At age 26, Jharrel Jerome has already worked with some of the biggest directors in the business, from his film debut in Barry Jenkins’s 'Moonlight' to his Emmy-winning performance in Ava DuVernay’s Netflix miniseries 'When They See Us' to his current Prime series 'I’m a Virgo', created and directed by Boots Riley. On today’s episode, Jerome sits down with Jacqueline Coley to discuss how he developed his character Cootie, the 13-foot-tall black teenager from Oakland in 'I'm a Virgo', and what’s in store for him as Miles G. Morales in 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse'.
